Riley Ellwanger

I’m a Software Engineer at Sentinel Ag, building intuitive tools that help farmers maximize fertilizer and water efficiency, boost profits, and protect our land and water for future generations.

Growing up in rural Nebraska, I was immersed in farm life. Laying irrigation pipe, working calves, and spending weekends hunting, fishing, and camping. That passion led me to study Natural Resource Management at the University of Nebraska, before switching to Computer Science when I realized that technology could supercharge both farming and conservation, if you understand both worlds.

I joined Sentinel Ag straight out of school, and it’s been an exciting journey blending my agricultural roots with coding while collaborating with an amazing team. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me outdoors with my family, whether hunting, fishing, or simply soaking up the good life.
